Okay akhi. You will have to make some effort on your part and some sacrifices. There could be a number of reasons why this is happening and why duas are not being accepted. The first and most important one is correct belief of Allah. If you call upon Allah any other way than that prescribed by Allah, then what would you expect? Allah says to call upon him Alone and not to make partners with him SWT. Also, do not invent lies against Allah and his messenger, for people who do that are the most evil. So can you tell me that you're calling upon Allah alone and not making partners with him (I'm being serious akhi. And I would think you will be too by the looks of your original post)
Are you sure your 'aqeedah is correct? Are you sure you are not indulged in bid'ah? Have you found out more about those who you associate yourself with? This should be your primary concern here... And that goes for everyone else who experiences this.
