I think it is not fruitful if you just tell us about the cost, but not about the size and location of the masjid.
It may be that there are valid reasons for such expense.
We shouldn't forget that once a masjid is built, it's meant to remain as a masjid until the day of judgment.
If such measures are carried out which would require less maintenance over the decades, compared to requiring continuous improvement, then it's not a bad thing.

As for helping out others with the money, we should actively use these masjids for community building, and poverty awareness, and you will see the same masjid has brought together millions to help others for generations to come.
