assalaamu 'alaykum sister idil...as i've said before on the forum at this kind of question, the following of a madhab is safe and easy... may Allah reward those who made it easy for the likes of us unknowledgeable (and lazy )ones who dont have to look for answers in the texts of the Qur'an and Hadeeth every time something came up.

Suleiman you can always quote proofs from your madhab AFTER you present the proofs from Qur'an and Sunnah.
