hmm a few points to make:
SUI Dr Tahir ul Qadri Sahib buys HUNDREDS of books from each of his tours of any (islmic) city, so it is easy for him to have picked the book up by mistake (he's always after new commentaries on old books).
The main issue is why wahabi ulema seem to declare the very hadith daef that go against THEIR aqeedah. They EDIT accepted books of the classical ulema according to their own beliefs, distribute them using their petro dollars.
In this case, various hadiths were taken out of the book, DOESN'T matter if they were put into another book. When a student goes to buy the Adhab al Mufrad, are they really goin to want o buy the daef book??? If the required affect was to point out the sahih hadith's, this could be easily be done by making a footnote on the page etc... but it is the niyah of the salafi scholars that seem suspicious....
About the Shayk Tahir ul Qadri himself, even if people hate/don't like him, they have to agree he is sincere to the beliefs he hold even if they are wrong in other peoples views.
For example, only a few years ago people thought of him as a barelvi, especially the non-barelvis. but then on a core issue he didn't politically support the barelvi ulema, because of which they called takfeer on him. They even went to the high court in Mumbai to stop his lectures taking place, imagine that.
Finally, although he is hated due to the political outlook of the ulema in the sub-continent, he has many friends amongst the arabic ulema, especially the shafai madhab, e.g. Shayk Yacoubi, Shayk Nazim and Habib Ali Jifri to name a few. His hadith book Minhaj us-Sawi is taught as a textbook in the ummayad mosque hadith course.
Jazakallah
