The only problem I have is that in many Muslim countries it is actually harder to practice islam than in kuffar countries.

I have heard this from many people living abroad. Its really a sad thing to hear. I realized this only during the rebellion in Egypt, Libya, Syria etc. Sometimes I think even the tyrant Muslim kings of the past were better than the 'secular' leaders of Today.
