Lucid dreaming is a state where one realises he/she is in a dream and therefore knows NOTHING can harm them and therefore can "control" the dream by doing anything they want. Glory to be Allah, this can be dangerous as a brother did point out if you get addicted you may end up liking the "dream world" better than the "real world"... good to be cautious... but it is fun.

I lucid dream 2-3 times a week and over time it is easy to come by with practice and knowing the "signs" of sleep, how do we know we are awake now and not dreaming? aand vice versa. Once you know the signs it is safe and fun to do.

For example i have times when i am fighting and i realise i am in a dream and i therefore start flying and firing fire out of my hands, it is shocking but fun to do if you can do it.

I do human biology and Psychology at University, final year so this comes up a bit in the degree.

Salam.
