Aslamo Alikum, Dear All, Many of us are very pious and there are many righteous people among us, but does our righteousness and piety means anything to God, does it have any weight in the sight of God if we are not establishing Islamic Laws (Sharia) in our country. I see the things in the light of this verse, where God says, O People of Book, you are on nothing unless you uphold the laws of Torah and Gospel Since, God's ways are not changed, He (swt) sees Muslims in the same way. If we are not upholding the laws of Quran, then we are on nothing in the sight of God no matter how much we pray or worship. Say, "O People of the Scripture, you are [standing] on nothing until you uphold [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to you from your Lord." And that which has been revealed to you from your Lord will surely increase many of them in transgression and disbelief. So do not grieve over the disbelieving people. Quran 5:68
