That wasn't my point. If someone says "I am celebrating Eid ul Fitr today" and it's the twentieth of Rabbi al Akhar, he's not celebrating Eid ul Fitr.
small point, maybe it will surprise you..............mawlid doesn't have to be on the day of birth of the prophet, neither in our prophets(pbuh) case, nor in the case of other prophets. It could be on any day of the year.

Now a small true story from a braveli group. A group consisting of heads of barelvi mosques were talking to each other, there were three of them at this point, two gave mubarak to the first saying the milad had been very good, the first said thanks etc... and then asked the second how are your milad arrangements going i.e. have you called xyz etc... then they both turned to the third and said brother we have not heard of any milad event at you mosque this time. The third replied we've decided to hold ours in the summer (he was also a "brillo"), and "explained"/added milad can be celebrated anytime of the year and it is always a blessing. The other two nodded in affirmation and carried on talking.

Go try re-counciling that with your concept of brailvism.

Glory to God
