Well, the content I've been focusing on is serious for me and that's why I take it seriously. I am just learning and am indeed reading and listening to lectures outside of this forum however, where I currently live there is very limited 'community' so, for the time being, SF serves as a community. I should also stress that while it is a serious matter for me, I am not looking at it as a substitute for authentic sources or teachers.

Also, I feel this forum is actually more open than other communities (in that people are somewhat anonymous here and open up about a lot of things, irrespective of gender differences as some threads have proven) and that openness raises the level of responsibility for both the reader and those who post - don't you think?
