Shaykh al-buti seems to be with assad. Hope his excuse if compulsion but even then it seems bad.

Very unfortunate, and it has been like that since many years; he had even led janazah of the kafir father of "asad" (kalb).
See,'ilm is useless when one aligns himself with ba'athist 'alawi kuffar tyrants against Muslims.
