Default question for brothers who converted from sikhism

So I just found out that the masjid near my brother in laws house, has a gurdwara next door. I know there are a few brothers who converted from Sikhism or have considered converting (e.g. RKK).

How would one go about giving dawah to Sikhs. My understanding of sikhism is very limited.

  • there is hatred of islam/mughals because supposedly sikh gurus were killed by Mughal emperors.
  • Some say that Sikhism's founder Nanak may have been a muslim. Supposedly he did hajj
  • Is Sikhism a monotheistic religion ?
  • What attracted you to Islam ?

Please add what you know and how would the masjid be good neighbors and do good dawah without offending.
