Also, bearing in mind that we constantly struggle to better ourselves, on a forum like SF all good advice serves as a reminder for the giver and the receiver - whether we heed it (at that moment) or not. Insha'Allah, all reminders are good.... that is advice/reminders only as reiterations of advice already given to us in Islam.

I think it would be different if the person was reprimanding or scolding other(s) when they themselves don't take heed... then that would possibly be hypocrisy.
