As salaamu alaykum.

How many SAHIH hadith does the hadith collection entitled "Mishkat ul Masabih" contain? Furthermore, does it contain, in addition to some of the weak and fabricated reports found in it, NEARLY ALL of those hadiths that are widely agreed upon as being Sahih?

A (Muslim) professor of religion that I am taking a class with currently made the claim that Mishkat ul Masabih contained nearly all of the 4400 or so Sahih hadith regarding whose Sahih status there is something approaching a consensus among the Muhadditheen. He didn't deny that there are other Sahih hadith out there not found in the collection but he said that those hadiths are usually those about which there is dispute.

Does anyone know if his claim that Mishkat ul Masabih contains nearly all of the Sahih hadith that are Sahih according to wide agreement?

If anyone of my more knowledgeable brothers and sisters would be able to provide some info about the above, I would appreciate it.
