This reminds me of a friend of mine. However, her whole family wasn't affected, just the small daughter. Whenever she was in the house, the baby would continously cry. However, even stepping outside in the veranda and she would be quiet and happy. Eventually they decided to move to another place where they are perfectly fine.

I think maybe you need to find an 'aamil if it's really bugging you. Not sure of anyone in Canada though. Maybe others will know,

I suppose however you can still email ulama elsewhere for suggestions etc. Also, if you aren't already, read manzil. That should help as well.
