From my understanding, Shah Ni´matu'Allah himself, and the early followers, were not necessary Shi´a. However, today I do not know of any non-Shi´i proponents of the Tariq. Wa'Allahu a´lam.

JazakAllah kyran...this is what I was thinking as well. Although the NIMATULLAHI ORDER still do not seem legitimate to me.
