Total War is an awesome series of games, and it really teaches you on a fundamental level how the world works: might makes right. Just got Shogun 2; it's amazing.

Haha yeah it does teach alot, every year theres a pop up telling you the latest news. But my favourite is Empire ..especially with DarthMod installed; it increases unit size by more than double! and the canonshots are beautiful
