I think there recently was a shia imam bara that opened somewhere in Durban.. I also saw one once near Verulam. However those two were the only ones.

According to the Shia Foundation SA website they have a Mosque in Phoenix, Durban. In total they count 16 centers in the country and the majority are in the rural, indigenous communities.

Shaykh Taha Karaan (HA) is in Pietermaritzburg today and tomorrow for a series of lectures on Shi'ism.
