Who was he: Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden is said to be the founder of al-Qaeda, the jihadist organization accused of having been responsible for the September 11 attacks on the United States and other large-scale attacks on civilian and military targets. Bin Laden was a part of the wealthy Saudi-based bin Laden family.

The founder of the clan, Mohammed bin Laden, was a native of southern Yemen and emigrated to Saudi Arabia at the beginning of the 20th century to set up a construction company. He became wealthy as a result of a franchise extended to him by the government to build religious structures in Saudi Arabia.

Osama bin Laden, one of dozens of children, became involved in the war in Afghanistan when the USSR invaded. It was then, apparently, that bin Laden became involved with the CIA, which was helping train and equip the resistance. They called the group being assembled al-Qaeda, or "the base."

The relationship apparently blossomed and bin Laden – under an assumed name – traveled to America where he recruited for "the base." Some of this recruiting was done in California; bin Laden also worked out of a mosque in Brooklyn.

Eventually, bin Laden returned to Afghanistan and according to the CIA and other official intelligence sources became radicalized – not just against the USSR, but against the West, as well. Bin Laden began to carry out armed actions against America and reportedly plotted the 9/11.

Eventually, Osama bin Laden was put on the American Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) lists of the Ten Most Wanted Fugitives and Most Wanted Terrorists for his involvement in the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings. However, he was never listed by the FBI as wanted for the September 11th attacks.

From 2001 to 2011, bin Laden was a target of the War on Terror. He remained in hiding until May 2, 2011 when bin Laden was supposedly shot and killed in a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, by US Navy SEALs. Bin Laden's body was immediately buried at sea. Al-Qaeda has vowed to retaliate.

Another version – one more in line with directed history – claims that the CIA built Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda up from the remains of the resistance to the USSR. They did so to create a portable enemy that they could place anywhere in the world. The idea was to generate a pretext for attacking countries and individuals that were resistant to the planned one world order.

Bin Laden, in this version, was never an enemy of the US, did not participate in 9/11 and died of kidney failure in 2001, as reported in Egyptian and Pakistani newspapers. His name and background have been twisted for intelligence purposes. Like Hitler, bin Laden has been turned into the Enemy. He is a phantasmagorical construct, not a real one.
