im not sure how your business model works but im guessing it has to do with generating traffic to your sites in order to make money from advertising and providing leads to other businesses.

if thats the case then by providing just islamic products you will be limiting traffic to your site as it will be a niche market, but then again whatever niche market you tap into may be enough for you to make it worthwhile? im sure there are other sites that do this as well.
Yes basically that's more or less the business model. Make website about a topic where there are buyers > generate traffic to the site (hardest part) > provide useful information to this traffic while at the same time funneling as many as possible as leads/sales to other business via special affiliate links where if a visitor originating from one of our sites made a purchase on a vendors site, we get the credit for it.

You are right in what you said about the niche market stuff. Basically there are some marketers who go after a really big market and make one large, 'authority' type website (lets say such as SF where you can discuss everything related to Islam as opposed to them only having a Quran section or only a brothers or sisters section or only a section on salaat, etc, these would be the 'niche markets' just as an example).. and then we have marketers who go after smaller markets because there is less competition and they hope to capitalize with quantity (i.e. have 10 sites with small niche markets with little competition easily making $10/month rather than having one big site in a very competitive large niche market making $100 month but with much more effort and work). So I try to do a little bit of both, somewhere in the middle. I have some sites which are only no more than 3 pages of info about a single product and then we try to make money with that traffic while providing value, and I have some sites which are a few 100 pages after different types of products in the same market... so it depends.

But yeah I've never been in the Islamic products market before and will definitely Insha'Allah dedicate more time researching and possibly starting some Islamic sites.

mashallah business is good on the graphic design side which has been around for about 5 years now. i am trying to make an offshoot of that business by providing marketing and advertising, and printing oppurtunities for businesses. early days yet but with your duas inshallah i hope to do well. Alhamdulillah, good to hear that. Yes graphic design is a very good business and I know it is very competitive as well, so Masha'Allah if you have survived 5 years and doing good then Insha'Allah you will continue to make progress! I actually hire graphic designers here and there from some freelance sites, maybe we could talk some business sometime Insha'Allah.

My dua's are with you and Insha'Allah you and your wife will be successful in your new business ventures with Allah swt's grace. Ameen.

It's good that you are trying to expand into providing other services for businesses. That's actually a very smart idea... because you already have business owners coming to you for graphic designing so why not expand the type of services you can offer to them. You can also look into providing SEO (search engine optimization) services which there is a huge demand for these days and if any business owner is coming to you for doing graphics for their website, they would usually surely be in need of SEO services as well.

may Allah put barakah in your business as well inshallah. for your dua's and kind words brother.
