I was going through the book of Allama Ibn Taimia, with regards to visitation of graves.

His answer mostly is dependent on what is attributed to Imam Malik, which he repeats throughout the book.

So I ask: What is the view of Imam Malik rahimahullah on:

1) visitation of the grave
2) frequent visitation of a grave
3) travelling to visit the grave
Specifically about the grave of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم , My understanding is that Malik and other other scholars before him would face the grave and give
tasleem, as they continued on towards the masjid un nabi. He did dislike frequent visitations to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم grave. How much is too frequent depends on 'urf. He disliked that one would stay too long as it seems the "rituals" that occur there are import of judeo-christian heritage, alien to the righteous
predecessors. This is only my understanding of narrations attributed to Malik
