Many highly qualified scholars of the Arab speaking world approved the creed laid down in "Al-Muhannad a'lal-Mufannad" by Shaykh Khaleel Ahmad Saharanpuri , and none of them called (or call) themselves Deobandi.

And what about scholars such as Muhammad Al-alawi Maliki.
