thank you, they really are wonderful....

I was reading a long time ago, one of the famous scholars (my mind keeps slipping to Imam Ghazzali for some reason) they were in a low spiritual state for 10 years...can anyone help me remember who it was? JZK.
Imam Ghazaali (RA) was one. Then Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA) was another. And there are many others. In fact this is sort of pattern in the life of people of Allah (SWT).

Thirst for knowledge of the purpose of life is the biggest thirst in human history. And above examples show us how this thirst manifests itself. This is really strange business. Islam was perfected more than fourteen centuries ago for us by Allah(swt) but at every epoch of time there arose problems of such serious nature that best of the believers were consumed in their efforts to bring humanity, in fact Ummah, out of those terrible states. I suppose the fitnahs of modern times have similar serious character.
