Good Arabic edition of Maraqi al-Falah (with and without Hashiya al-Tahtawi)
Assalamu alaykum
I am looking for a good Arabic edition of Maraqi al-Falah (with and without Hashiyat al-Tahtawi) that is available to purchase online that ships to the US or somewhere local in NY. I'd prefer to have both Maraqi al-Falah and an edition with Hashiyah al-Tahtawi separately.
On Qibla it says:
I. Nur al-Idah – this is the main matn/text studied in fiqh of worship.
Maraqi al-Falah, is the sharh/commentary on the text. Both of these are by the same author, Imam al-Shurunbulali.
Al-Hashiya (Marginal Notes) of Imam al-Tahtawi is also important to have.
- Useful to have each of these three works separately.
- Damascus edition is the best; avoid the Beirut editions – not useful at all.
- Another edition (?) of Nur al-Idah with footnotes by: Abd al-Jalil ‘Ata and Abd al-Hamid Mahmoud, is available and good. From
http://spa.qibla.com/issue_view.asp?...D=8910&CATE=91
However, I'm not sure whether the Damascus and Beirut editions are referring to Nur al-Idah or also Maraqi al-Falah.
Also, Shaykh Faraz Rabbani recommended the two volume by Maktaba al-'ilm al-Hadith with Tahtawi's commentary by Shaykh Abdul Kareem al-Ata--not sure if I could find this to purchase online, however.
I don't really know how to find these specific editions to order online. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Jazak Allahu khayra!
