Default several questions of secular modern muslims and my lack of proper answers
aoa,

i wish to pose some questions to the SF community, asked by an alarmingly large modern secular population of which i wish to find 'proper' answers.
i can spin out my own understanding of the matters at hand, but i figure the answers by ulema will be more beneficial and less likely to lead people astray. i pretty much know the answers to them, but i am looking for books, bayans, fatwas or even general answers that have been given by ulema. that in my book is a 'proper' answer.

- why is it important to give dawah to non-muslims and try to 'save' them?why do muslim scholars flip when the non-muslim missionaries give dawah to muslims?isnt it a basic human right of any human being to follow which ever religion he chooses?why do we have to force 'our religion' upon them?

- why is it a must to follow the ulema?we have been given intellect by Allah so why cannot we interpret islam as we see right?there are many things ulema do that dont seem right to me but i always get shouted down by the religious lot for not being an aalim.

- why does islam has to be ritualistic in its practices?why cant someone be a good person and not do bad in his life to himself and others and have a good relationship with God asking Him for help, believing in Him, remembering Him and being grateful to Him?why the rituals?

- why does every muslim 'jamaat' have a problem with other jamaats?arent we all muslims?so why all this division?i have no problem marrying or being friends with shias and bohris

- who has given these ulema the right to decide whether someone is a kafir or not?

- why do muslims think that even 'good people' among non-muslims will go to hell and burn therein forever?there are muslims who gamble and do adultery and they get to go to heaven while some non-muslims lead better lives and you say they will go to hell?why?

- why do ulema deny qadianis their basic human right of freedom of speech?why do we have to oppose them so staunchly?what is wrong with using their products like shezan?that is a big extreme

- why is it that women are treated as a fitnah and termed responsible for the 'fahashi' in society?dont men play a role too?why is it that the ulema pose restrictions on women to move in society but no such restrictions upon men to behave better?

- why do ulema deny the right of a women to decide for herself whether she wants to wear a hijab or not?do you think a woman is a better person if shes wearing a hijab as compared to a woman who does not?are you aware that many immoral things are done by women behind the veil?so how is she better?

- women are increasingly handling their finances themselves?why is it that in testimony they are still not equal to men?what is the logic behind it?are women inferior in some way?

- why is it that ulema flip when educated people ask for reforms in islam?who gave them the legal custodianship of religion?why doesnt the opinion a well educated modern and open-minded person count against an alim, even if this person is talking sense?what does he lack?the alim doesnt even have bachelor's education in many cases...

- why are careers for women so downplayed in islam?why is it her duty to raise kids?shouldn't she be allowed to choose for herself what she wants from her life?

- why dont the ulema come out and condemn the sectarian killings of hazara shias in pakistan?all this hoo-haa over veena malik but when people are actually being slaughtered by ttp and by extremist sunnis then no alim utters a word.is it because they endorse it isnt it?

- why is it that sunni ulema pronounce fatwas on shias but within themselves they are divided over madhabs. why this double-policy?how would a system of government work if a country has two major schools of thought?

- why do muslims have to disrespect other religions?why cant we be more open minded and work towards common grounds between people of different faiths?isnt inter-faith harmony a more peaceful way of life than constantly giving dawah?

in sha Allah will add more questions.

a question i have very little knowledge about and is asked by modern+religious lot (not necessarily ahle hadeeth):

- isnt taqlid the root cause of all sects and deviancies?wouldnt these shias be better off if they didnt do taqlid?what about qadianis?its okay if taqlid is restricted to fiqh. but what about aqeedah?isnt it a right of a muslim to decide this on his own without pressure from community and his ulema?

- what does the tableeghi jamaat do for people who dont come to mosques and are non-practising?why bother only those people who come to mosques regularly with the same thing over and over again?

please note that i am not looking for debates, or arguments. i am looking primarily for, as i said, books, lectures, fatwas etc of renowned scholars. so please respect that. its fine if someone has an answer from an alim to just one question only : )

Jazak Allah khair
