What has my post got to do anything with being a MOD?

It is a general rule Hazrat Ibn Abbas explained:

ابهموا ما ابهم الله

What Allah has kept ambiguous, you should also keep it that way.

Yani, when Allah and his Rasool have not pinpointed Sufyani, why do we need to go into it?

SImilarly, when Allah and his Rasool haven't given you a specific time for Mahdi's coming, then why do we need to go into it? And when we don't know who that person will be, and NO ONE CAN KNOW BEFORE HIS COMING, then why waste time on who Mahdi will be?

Subhaanallah! I just received a post from a brother who has informed me that President Asad of Syria belongs to the sect known as the 'Alawis, now this is something almost everyone knows. But, how many people know that the 'Alawis consist of four major tribes, the Kalbiyyah, al-Haddadin, al-Matawirah and al-Khayatin.

Allah knows best, but how relevant is it that the Sufyani will belong to the tribe of Kalb, which so happens to be one of the tribes of the 'Alawi sect to which the present day rulership of Syria belong.
