Internet is good for extra references, but for something more than that, we need a much more conclusive evidence. I don't remember the hadith exactly, but I thought the sufyani should come from Egypt, and he's considered as pious by the general public?

Regarding King Abdullah II, didn't he's the 43rd generation direct descendant of the Prophet Mohammad(

If that's so, then he's definitely not the sufyani mentioned. Plus, it would be beneficial if someone who's interested to discuss about sufyani to quote the whole hadith. And it would much more beneficial if the background of the hadith can be discussed, and perhaps some other hadiths that come together with the sufyani hadith? That can provide a good point of reference for a more detailed discussion. Otherwise, if it's discussed without the right context, reference and the right person, it can be a source of fitna and misunderstanding.
