Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullah

I was speaking to my friend the other day, and she told me that she attended a lecture by Yasir Qadhi who said that the poem Qasidah Burdah is shirk.

I wanted to know is it really shirk? Apparantly the Prophet (saw) is praised excessively. I would appreciate it if a scholar answers my question Insha Allah.
