i have been having hugh success of late creating sites that are specifically create for Google News [non islamic related].

Google News sites create page views in 100,000+ per month and can get picked up by major news outlets like the BBC, etc.

I am wondering whether to embark on this journey since it is news you have to report and the content has to be NEWSY and the only way that I will be able to reproduce the news is by rewriting content that is already out there on a budget [compared to big boys going out and getting the news].

Just wanted to consult with others on this matter, pros and cons that is, knowing that when it does get going and accepted in Google News it could look to source its own news.

I see the benefit with the opportunity to challenge mainstream voice on Islam with a proper news site but trying to do it right.

It will take me about 3 months of content with about 3 - 5 posts a day before I can get it into Google news. So about 400 articles to start with.

What you think ?
SLM,

It seems like a lot of effort, but if you have the energy, then go for it.

It is, however, quite difficult to come up with original material. People need to spend time making it. If you have people writing original pieces for you, you'd have to try and syndicate it, and renumerate them for their efforts. Otherwise, if you have a group of enthusiastic volunteers, things tend to go pear shaped and the energy is lost very quickly.

All the best, though, and may Allah swt make you successful.
