Dear Brother Darknite:

May Allah guide you, me, and all of us to the Straight Path.

Brother, I believe new members perhaps have some restrictions placed on their postings until after 10 posts or something of that sort.

However, Brother, I wanted to return and simply tell you something that I find true in my life. Brother, I ran away from Allah most of my life due to what had happened (severe depression, bullying, etc. in my middle school years). So, I had decided I would reject the divine. I could not see any wisdom in suffering what I had suffered, but I am telling you, Brother, that today I love Allah the most. I love every moment of suffering that I underwent, and I would not change it for a million dollars or all the wealth of the world and hereafter.

Brother, after all my suffering and pain and subsequent rejection of God and living the life without including Him in my life, I was never happy. In my heart, you see, Brother, there was a God-shaped blank in which no matter how much I filled with things of this world, people of this world, and other aspects of the world, I was never fulfilled.

Only after researching other religions for my interest and studying Islam the last, and Islam so almost accidentally, did I realize the purpose of my life: To worship Allah alone without any partners.

I stopped having any hope or expectation in the world, people, and things. I became free only after I made the conscious decision to worship Allah and surrender to His will.

Everything you are facing is a test and a lesson. You are stronger than this test and the lesson in this Insha-Allah is to give your head and your heart in submission to Allah. Your true friend is only Allah, and He is the Most Merciful.

Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear… (Qur’an, 2:286). Also, Brother, I leave you with this beautiful surah of the Quran, which we Muslims recite in every prayer at least 5 times a day:

In the name of God, the infinitely Compassionate and Merciful.
Praise be to God, Lord of all the worlds.
The Compassionate, the Merciful. Ruler on the Day of Reckoning.
You alone do we worship, and You alone do we ask for help.
Guide us on the straight path,
the path of those who have received your grace;
not the path of those who have brought down wrath, nor of those who wander astray.
(Quran 1:1-7) May Allah keep you under His protection and give you the understanding you will need to change your life and the will to accept what you cannot change.

If I have said anything that is good and true, it is from Allah, and anything other than that is my own mistake.
