best cure for laziness from the teachings of our dearest Prophet Muhammad sallahu 3laye wasalam is
to wake up before the sun rises, because the one who wakes up after the sunrise then will have the devil urine in his/her ear, making them dull and heavy, and in approaching their daily tasks in laziness and unwillinglness.
Before the sun rise, when it is time to wake up, one should wash their hands thrice and blow from the noise thrice, make ablution and then offer two rakahs of prayers. as when one sleeps then the shaytan comes and places three knots on the head, and so when he gets up one of those knots is destroyed, then when he performs ablution another one is gone, and then two rakahs are prayed all three knots are broken, and the person feels fresh
Also Qadhi Iyad mentions in Ash Shifa, that too much eating, causes too much sleeping, and too much of sleep renders one lazy/ irresponsible. So to cut the head of snake, reduce the eating, and make it lesser than what is, as the senses affect the flesh/spirit and influences them, and makes the latter to do something, in exactly the same way just as the wind-blow affects the sails of ship and makes it to run in a certain direction, according to one saying of Sayidina "Isa ibn Maryam (as).
Also excessive games/entertainment, causes irresponsibility in the spirit..
Most important than this, is to have a good opinion in Allah, as Allah is with a servant according to his/her expectation of Him, and to never let oneself disappointed or demoralised, and the doer, or intender upon his/her tasks, should place his/her reliance and trust on Allah only, and will find the best results and turnouts in what they hoped for, for those who put their trust in God will find Him by their side always and taking care of them in the most complete and best of forms, but those who trust in the creation instead, then Allah leaves them to those creation, with unguaranteed results, should the creation wish, then they might take of him/her, or should they not then no care would be seen, nor any benefit derived.
