Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) Will Act On Ilm Al-Ladun (Hidden Knowledge)
There are accounts to state that Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will possess special and secret knowledge like the hidden knowledge (Ilm Al-Ladun) given from the Presence of Allah. In Molla Baqir Counsil, 3/157 it states: "Abdullah asked; "Then what is the wisdom behind his ghaybat [occultation]?" Imam replied; "The wisdom behind will be understood after his appearance, just like the wisdom behind the acts Hazrat Khidr (pbuh) carried out during damaging the ship, killing the child, building the wall. The wisdom of those acts was not known to the Prophet Moses (pbuh) before he separated his way with him. O the son of Fazl! This is an act of Allah and the secret and wisdom of ghaybat (occultation) is one of the secrets and wisdoms of Allah. Just like we have faith in the fact that Allah is the Owner of Absolute Wisdom, we should also be sure that all his [Hazrat Mahdi's (pbuh)] doings are wise. Even if we are not aware of the wisdom hidden in the details, that is what we should do."
Insha'Allah. "Abdullah asked; "Then what is the wisdom behind his ghaybat [occultation]?" Hazrat Mahdi 's (pbuh) ghaybat. "Imam replied; "The wisdom behind will be understood after his appearance, just like the wisdom behind the acts Hazrat Khidr (pbuh) carried out during damaging the ship, killing the child, building the wall. The wisdom of those acts was not known to the Prophet Moses (pbuh) before he separated his way with him. O the son of Fazl! Yes, that means just like people did not understand Hazrat Khidr (pbuh).. For instance even a Prophet like the Prophet Moses (pbuh) did not have the strength to be with Hazrat Khidr (pbuh). Just like that, since Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will also possess hidden knowledge (Ilm Al-Ladun), many people would not have the strength to be with Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), to be his student.. That is why he [Our Prophet (saas)] says that their number will be like the ones passing the river with Saul. For instance the explanation Saul gave there is also a hidden knowledge. He says; " you will not drink more than a handful of water."One might say "water is lawful, we can drink as much as we like," according to his own mind. Right? But what does Saul say? He says "You should not drink." What do the men there do? They drink hands full of water, they drink profoundly and thus they would be acting contrary to a hidden knowledge. And they are not given that duty anymore; they cannot get involved in that struggle anymore. That is the same with the students of the Mahdi (pbuh). When Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) says something one should definitely look for wisdom, for goodness and a hidden aspect in that. Or else that person could not become a student to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). That is what we understand from this..
