Hi i would like to know what is markas, as i have a few friends who are always on about markas, and want to take me to a markas event in dewsbury,
where scholars, will be present. im not sure what the different's beliefs are as i am sunni, and they have a few different opinions to mine, so im not sure what they are on about.

i.e. they dont celebrate the prophet Muhammad, birthday.
Dont take part in morham (Ali & Karbala) as in fasting, and reading
Also they say u should not say nare takbeer, nare risalat.as its a shia related.
but they do reed they sunta and 20 rakat, Tarawih (i thought this the way of the sunni's)
they say they belong to the khurasan, people, and that markaz, comes from a village before india and pakistan were split, and it was divine
then pakistan took over and changed their ways.

All this is a mystery to me, but they do admit that they believe in direct contact with Allah, and dont believe in using the prophets name in your dua. as extra aid. like sunnis. do. and also they dont believe in peers, but they believe in khwaja garrib nawaz, but they are sayed .
basically its all to do with this khurasan. belief., (hard to make out as they believe in a lot of wahabi ways) is markaz another term for wahabis???
