With due respect to Shaykh Muhammad Daniel, muhaddith is a big title.

The initiator of this thread studied in Darul Ulum/Madinah University, so I'm sure he understands Arabic quite well. Sh. Hatim al-'Awni is one of the leading hadith scholars of our time and many students of knowledge recommend his durus on Nuzhat al-Nazr Sharh Nukhbat al-Fikr.
