Salaam Alaikum who contributed more to the Hanafi Madhhab the Ulema of Hind or the Arab Hanafi scholars? wich group was/is dominant when it comes to Hanafi fiqh.

I think that your question is not as well-thought out as it could be. On the basis of ethnicity/nationality, Hanafi scholarship is not restricted merely to the "Arab" world and Indian subcontinent. There were vast numbers of Ottoman (i.e. "Turkish") scholars for centuries that made a lasting impact on the madhab as well as Persians who made amazing contributions to this madhab (don't forget that Imam Abu Hanifah himself was a Persian). If anything, I think that the Ottoman and Persian Ulema probably contributed to the madhab more than their Arab and Indo-Pak counterparts.

Given the above, I think that your question may be in need of revision as I do not believe that either of the groups you mentioned in your initial question have really "dominated" Hanafi fiqh except perhaps in recent times where it appears that a case could be made that some of the more major Hanafi scholars have come from the subcontinent (although this is by no means indisputable).

In addition, what has inspired the question? I hope that it does not have to do with ethno-nationalism of some sort.

Just some thoughts.
