A) We need Taqwa

B) We need technological proficiency

How does A help B?

No, seriously, I think A does help B... just not clear how.

Let me give it a try.
First of all eat a plate of chicken Biryani. (Following every Sunnah.)
(Yes, I am not convinced by brother Pawlak.)
After that let us take the Hadth of Dates - the one pertaining to pollination of date palms. As per the narrations honourable Companions (RA) did not pollinate the date flowers on a particular year because the modesty of beloved Prophet(PBUH) did not like the rubbing of male flowers on female flowers. That year there was no crop of dates and it was duly reported to beloved Prophet(PBUH). As a result beloved Prophet(PBUH) told the Companions that you know your worldly matters better than me. Apart from other lessons we learn one thing for sure - the proficiency in any worldly technology is desirable and we have a license to use it from beloved Prophet(PBUH). It was Taqwa of Companions (RA) that made this deductions possible for us. They did not do pollination because they had Taqwa.

Next let us take the incident of digging of the ditch before the battle of Confederates. This was a technical step. This was taken on the advice given by Hazrat Salman Al-Farsi (RA). Thus use of modern technology becomes Sunnah. People of Taqwa follow Sunnah.

So if you have Taqwa you shall implement modern technology.

What do you say brother Aseatic?
