i am into tazkiyat nafs but there is so many dodgy sufis out there im really scared of giving bayat to a sufi shaykh. if someone like muft taqi uthmani lived near me and accepted bayat i would give it to him because he is someone who adheres to the shariah and he is a faqih, someone knowledagable.

even brothers i know who follow the four mathaib, tableeghi jamaat are against giving bayat to sufis.

They're wrong and don't know that their own elders are in bay'ah with someone else.
