Alot of Ulema have talked to Maulana Zahid. He himself was quite worried in the beginning to the extent that he wanted to denounce his son. But now he seems to be ok with it. He wrote a preface for a book written by Ammar on Hudood & Taziraat which basically rejected the Islamic Punishment for Zina by a married person, a concept introduced by ghamdi, and further elaborated by ammar. By the way Ammar is not the only deobandi scholar who is working for Ghamdi, quite a number of scholars are working for him, some qualified from dar ul uloom karachi, as far as i have heard.
