Alot of Ulema have talked to Maulana Zahid. He himself was quite worried in the beginning to the extent that he wanted to denounce his son. But now he seems to be ok with it. He wrote a preface for a book written by Ammar on Hudood & Taziraat which basically rejected the Islamic Punishment for Zina by a married person, a concept introduced by ghamdi, and further elaborated by ammar.

So you're saying Mawlana Zahidur Rashidi wrote a preface to a book denying the Hadd for Zina? Can you post the scans here?

By the way Ammar is not the only deobandi scholar who is working for Ghamdi, quite a number of scholars are working for him, some qualified from dar ul uloom karachi, as far as i have heard.

Getting carried away with exaggeration, aren't we? Rather than saying 'quite a few', it's more truthful and accurate to say a handful. And once they join th Ghamidi sect, they are no longer representing the Deobandis nor are they considered Deobandis any longer. One graduate of Binnori Town joined the Ghamidis, as soon as this was discovered, the shuyukh of Binnori town revoked his ijazahs.
