We should know that being a "Sufi" does not mean one is necessarily "peace-loving" (in the sense of not having anything to do with warfare). We only need to look in the past few centuries, when the armed resistance movements across all the Muslim world were led by the Shaykhs of Tassawuf. It is only recently that armed resistance is being led by peopkle other than those involved in Tassawuf.
