The student loan is not necessary at all. SubhanAllah, in our day and age we look for short term solutions rather than long term. The loan maybe good for us in this dunya, but what about akhirah? The long term solution is to work hard, use the grant they give you, plan your finances. If you need to, look for jobs or provide some services for money. At a last resort ask a family or friend to lend you some money without interest. Al hamdu lillah it is so true in a way, if you want to do something the halal way, Allah will bidhnihi give you tawfeeq. We shouldn't deceive ourselves saying that we won't be paying the loan back because at the end of the day it is a loan and there has been an agreement that you will return the loan.

May Allah give us all tawfeeq. Ameen.
