mufti ibn adam in his fiqh of marriage course states that valima is within two days, otherwise its some other feast. He mentions arabs had lots of feasts with different names for different occasions and valima technically has to happen within 2 days.
... it is a tradition of the west where they "re-enact their vows" .. basically have a party and trade their exchange of "will you marry me and I love you" ..

I am not comparing the two, but an event such as this, whereby many many people from Pakistan that love the person due to his being a popular cricketer turned devout worshipper ... people will now follow his tradition ..

also people are already "mocking" this .. so if it is indeed something permisable, then they are mocking the sunnah .. if its not permisable, it needs to be clarified..

can a scholar please post some feedback on this?
