What has been revealed about honey is certainly true.

However, in reference to what you mentioned above - I have a correction to make. "It does not result in an increase in body fat as refined sugar does." In fact, once you ingest sugar - be it refined, natural, or from honey ... our bodies do not know the difference. In fact, per tablespoon (unit volume) honey has more calories from sugar than refined sugar. Ask those who have to watch their sugar intake as if their lives depend on it, people with diabetes. So, if one were to ingest as many calories of honey as they did of refined sugar (or any other type of sugar), the effect on one's weight would be the same. The goal is to reduce the caloric intake, and increase one's calorie consumption.
