يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ إِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الأَحْبَارِ وَالرُّهْبَانِ لَيَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَالَ النَّاسِ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللّهِ

O you who believe! Verily, there are many from the Rabbis and Monks who devour the wealth of the people in falsehood, and deter them from the Path of Allaah. [9:34]

My advice to you brother is reflect long and hard on this powerful Ayah.

The ultimate source of our guidance is Allaah and His Messenger

Becareful about attaching yourself to a "Shaikh" or a "Peer". The Jews and Christians have been misguided by many of their Rabbis and Priests. The Prophet

said that this Ummah will follow in their footsteps.
