i was thinking if our prophet s.a.w did not do such a practise, would it not come under a new invovation??? we're suposed to avoid new inovation correct? im not 100% sure please clarify

Unless it is bid`a hasana, I.E. 'good innovation'.

One of the more knowledgeable brothers on the forum should expand.
