There is substantial proof that that Aisha (ra) was 9 years when the marriage was consummated. I don't want to go deep into it as I don't have enough knowledge.

What I can't understand is why are Muslims 'hastening' to cover up the age of Aisha (ra) or the fact that our Rasoolullah

had 12 wives. It seem like we are embarrassed about it or something. Forget what the Kuffar say about it. They have been taunting our Rasoolullah

ever since he started preaching Islam. Rasoolullah

was the noblest of creation, nothing bad has ever came from him. As for the age, it was the norm during that era, the age barrier for marriage is a very recent concept. I have attached a good book on it.
