Default Abu Usamah at it again with Hanafis!

-----

Abu usamah (of Green Lane) says: the ‘scholars of Islam’ have said Imam Abu Hanifa was weak in Hadeeth and criticised him. Some scholars he mentioned were:

- Imam Bhukari’s Sheik Abdullah bin Zubair Al-Humaidi said Abu Hanifa was weak in Hadeeth
- Abdullah Ibn adeed
- The son of the Muhaddith Abu Dawud said that the great scholar (of Basra) Ayyub assahdiyani, the great scholar (of Koofa) Sufyan ath-Thouri, the great scholar (of Hijaaz) Imam Maalik Ibn Anas, the scholar (from Egypt) Allais ibn’u sa’t, the great Scholar of Khurasaan Abdullah Ibn Mubarak – ALL said that Imam Abu Hanifa was ‘weak’ in Hadeeth.

There are many issues here. I’m just going to mention a few.
Firstly, isn’t Abu Usamah doing taqleed on those ‘scholars’ he mentioned with the claim that Abu Hanifa was weak in Hadeeth?
He goes on to mention that these scholars said that Abu Hanifa was weak, there were other scholars who said that Abu Hanifa was ‘ok’. ‘OK!’. I think those scholars said a bit more than ‘Ok’ mate!

Firstly I personally was a bit disappointed when he mentioned “...And I know in this Masjid we have visitors who are here, they may be Hanafi. And you should hear this because this message is for you as well.”

So Hanafis are ‘visitors’ – not brothers? This sort of thing really hurts.
Even whenever I talk about other groups, we’ll at least say”Our Salafi brother...” or “The Brelvi brother...”.
THIS SORT OF THING CAUSES DIVISIONS! When someone goes as far as not even recognising his Muslim brother as a Muslim.

Plus if you compare the scholars who praised Imam Abu Hanifa to the ones who criticised him, then you’ll see that those that praised him were more in number and higher in terms of status than those who criticised him.
Plus those narrations of the scholars that Abu Usamah mentions are weak. – Check it u yourself!

And by the way, the scholars he mentioned like Abdullah Ibn Mubarak and Sufyan at Thouri. Why would they criticise Abu Hanifa when they praised him like the quotes above. Show us your proof Mr Abu Usamah!

Who cares if people believe that Imam Abu Hanifa was NOT weak in Hadeeth? How is that going over board? Plus why would someone want to believe in the scholars who criticised Abu Hanifa when there’s a huge bunch of scholars that praised him? I sense some jealousy here and a pointless....point.

Also just before he mentions Imam Abu Hanifa, he prasied him a little – “Al Imam abu Hanifa is the Imam of the Dunya...he is an ayaa from the Ayaat of Allah, he is the Faqih of Al-Iraaq...”(and more praise). So how can Imaam Abu Hanifa be ALL that and still ne ‘weak’ in Hadith?!!! How can a person be amazing in Fiqh but be weak in hadith? Think about it, you need hadith or you need to be a Muhaddith to be a Faqih.
Abu Usamah goes on to say that “who from amongst us wouldn’t want to be like Al-Imam Abu Hanifa – even though he was weak in Hadith?” He just has to slip that in doesn’t he?

Why doesn’t Mr Abu Usamah do a talk on Al bani. Praise him for half an hour and then give a list of ALL the mistakes that Albani made in the next half an hour (mind you it would probably take more than half an hour to cover the mistakes and contradictions Albani made, no seriously.)
Why pick on the greatest of Scholars? Aren’t there more important things in Islam to talk about? Why use Imam Abu Hanifa as an example to make the ‘point' of not going overboard?! Do Hanafis believe Abu Hanifa was a saint? NO. Do we believe he’s in Jannah? NO (Inshallah he is – just like all the other greater Scholars & Wali’s of Allah). Do we believe he was perfect?! NO. Do we believe he made mistakes?! YES! So what’s the point he’s trying to make?!!!

Where are the people or Hanafis going overboard here?!!!

I feel like there’s going to be another Abu Hanifa’ talk coming up!

Can Shaykh Ahmad Ali, Shaykh Ryadul Haq, Shaykh Zahir Mahmood and Shaykh Mufti Ibn Adam Please STAND UP?!!! Lol
