Salam aleikum brothers and sisters

I have a question on the moustache. Please note that this thread is not on beard which i recognize as obligatory not to trim (with some scholars finding it makruh to trim). This thread is only on moustache.

I have decided to let my beard grow and i need practical advices from brothers who have nice big beards.

Could you provide me basis on what to do with the moustache? Should we shave it or trim it? If we must trim it, where does the moustache stop and the beard begin? The sides of the mouth are they part of the moustache to be trimmed or part of the beard to be kept? Should we trim short or just enough to avoid having hair on the upper lip? Should we trim with scissors or trimmer?
