al-Salamu 'Aleykum,
Hadith al-Thaqalayn has a couple of different texts which may differ greatly at times, the authentic origin of the narration is in Sahih Muslim and it goes like this:
Zaid ibn Arqam (ra) narrated: The Prophet PBUH stood once in a water called Khum between Mecca and Madinah so he praised Allah and thanked him and he started giving advice and wisdom, he said: O people I am but a HUMAN and soon Allah's Messenger (Angel of death) will come to me and I will answer him, And I have left with you two Wieghty things The first one being the Book of Allah, In It Is the Light and Guidance So Hold On To The Book of Allah and never let go of it. So he encouraged them to hold on to the book of Allah then he said: And My AhlulBayt, By Allah I remind you of My AhlulBayt, By Allah I remind you of My AhlulBayt, By Allah I remind you of my AhlulBayt.
