Mashallah!
May I ask, what led you to remain "Sunni" ie Orthodox Muslim, many new converts are attracted by the sophistry of misguided sects especially Imami shiism and leave orthodox Islam when theyh hear some infantile argument against Bukhari's Sahih, as If Islam is based on Bukhari and not the Quran!
Well throughout my life I have always thought about God and how to follow him and please him, my family was Catholic but not practicing. I converted because I truly believed in God and in the Qur'an being from him. The first time I heard the recitation of the Qur'an was of surah fatihah and it was the night before going to the Masjid for my convertion. I heard it without understanding even a word, but I know the moment i heard it that it was from God and no human being could have made it, it touched my heart and from that day forward I have only been trying to get closer to him through following the truth.
I ended up at a Arab Masjid in NYC and slowly but surely started to learn about hadiths, until i was familiar with Islam, God, and Prophethood.
In the begining I did research different sects, like Shiaism ect, but the overwhelming proof from the Qur'an and Authentic Sunnah can lead no where else except to tradition Islam.
Islam itself makes total sense and doesn't need me to think for it, or for me to change it, and I didn't become a Muslim so that I could do exactly what my forefathers did with their religion.
Regardless of what anyone argues against Islam, Islam always has a better answer.
