They create theory, renew it and finally abandon it. Just see the example of Stephen Hawking's self contradicting theories in "A Brief History of Time" and "The Grand Design".

The problem with every theory is that it needs to be proven wrong only once.
The same thing is gonna happen to Darwin's "theory".
